I've had this question a few times... This is not a formal wedding, but, we are getting married and would like people to be somewhat dressy to celebrate the occasion.
What does this mean? Sundresses for the ladies, slacks and collared shirts for the men (jackets or blazers and ties are a nice addition!).
It will likely be a warm day (and the wedding and reception are outdoors) so please keep that in mind.

When and Where is the Wedding?
We are getting married outdoors at 11:00am, 23 July 2011 at the Knickerbocker Mansion in Schaghticoke, NY. Their site is down right now, but there is a nice write-up with pictures here.
The ceremony will be followed by a lunch reception.
There will also be mansion tours, outdoor games, and dancing. Please check back as the schedule and events firm up.
We are thinking of going to breakfast on the morning of the 24th at Saratoga.
I suggest that you stay in the area at least on the evening of the 23rd, if not the 22nd as well.

Who is invited?
If you received a "Save the Date" you are invited. If you have a spouse or "significant other", they are invited. If you have children, they are invited.

What is a "Save the Date" ??!??
Hopefully you found this blog because you received one of our "Save the Dates" (which I printed myself using handset moveable type).
So, what is this thing...
Well, "Save the Dates" are our way of letting people know when and where we are getting married, and that we want you to be there! The "Save the Date" is especially useful in cases like this, where no one that is invited to the wedding lives very near the wedding site. In fact, this is essentially a "DESTINATION WEDDING"!
So, I hope you liked our "Save the Dates" and don't you dare throw out that awesome pencil sharpener-- it comes with two spare blades, right there on the sharpener!!!
The wedding invitations will be sent out 4-6 weeks before the wedding, and we hope that you will join us for our special day!!
I will be updating this site with more information as questions get asked. Please free to email me any questions you have.
